Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National park is situated in Siuth Central Nepal covering 932 Sq. Km in the subtropical lowland of the inner Terai.It has long been one of the country’s treasurer of natural wonders provides a great wildlife experience with its rich flora and fauna.The park has a range of climatic seasons each offering an uniqueexperience.Ocober through February with an average temperature of 25 ?C offer and enjoyable climate.From march to June temperatures can reach as high as 43 ?C.The park consists of diversity of eco-system. Elephant safari provides opportunity to get a closer view of the endangered one-horned rhinoceros.One may also get a glimpse of the exclusive Bengal Tiger. Chitwan National parks has jungle resorts scattered inside and outside its boundaries. The resorts have offer individual cottages with a private bath or well-appointed luxury tent camps to stay.
Bardia National Park
Bardia national park is the largest park in the lowland terai covering an area of 968 sq. km.The park is situated in Nepal’s Western Terai, established to protect representative ecosystems and conserve tiger and its prey species.
The park has three distinct seasons, each providing an unique experience.From October through early April the weather is dry. The days are warm and the night are cool and pleasant.From April to June the temperature warm up and reaches to 46 ?C in May/June. The park offers a variety of experiences in its vast undisturbed wildnerness.The park is hom to endangered animals such as the Bengal tiger, wild elephant,greater one-horned rhinoceros,swamp deer and black buck.
An Elephant ride provides a different view of the park as one can go off the main trail.Morning and late afternoon is the ideal time to go on a ride.
Suklaphanta Wildlife Reserve
Suklaphanta Wildlife Reserve is located in the Far-Western Terai on the southwest edge of Nepal.The reserve served as a hunting ground in 1969, it was declared as a Royal Hunting Reserve.In 1976, an area of 155 sq. km was gazetted as Royal Suklaphanta Wildlife Reserve to protect Nepal’s last remaining herd of Swamp deer.
The reserve offers a variety of experiences with its diverse interior and abudent wildlife.Forests, steams and rivers,lakes and several large phantas for which the park is names,comprise the habitat of the reserve.
The park has three seasons. From October through early April the weather is dry. The days are warm and pleasant,an the nights are cool. From april to June the temperature warm up into 40 ?C range.
